Katey Geest will guide students through watercolor painting techniques with an emphasis on perspective. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience with watercolor, there is much to gain from this class. Join us and paint your very own German hausbarn-inspired landscape.
All materials will be provided. We recommend that students wear paint clothes.
$30 for non-members; $25 for GAHC&M members

Phase 2 of our exhibition progress!
We installed a new light fixture, wrapped the walls with ship imagery, added a ticket window on the exterior, and added some of the built-out details. It is so exciting to see everything come together. Next is installing the hands-on activities, computer programming, an finishing touches.

Phase 1 of our permanent exhibition renovation!
After enjoying our permanent exhibition hotel rooms for 15 years, we decided it was time for a little refresh. One of our two model hotel rooms is in the process of becoming an imaginative space for children to learn about immigration history. We swapped the furniture to the other hotel room (which was previously closed to the public, but is now open!) in order to transform this one into a "ship" with activities and information that can be enjoyed by our younger visitors.
Stay tuned for more progress and installation photos! Thanks to Edwards Creative for all of their guidance and collaboration over the past several months to help us bring our vision to life.
