Save the date for our Annual Eiermarkt Spring Craft Fair at the GAHC&M! Free admission to the museum all day and a variety of local vendors. Handmade goods, spring decor, crafts, jewelry, baked goods, basket fillers, and more from our variety of vendors.
*Most of our vendors are cash only*

Due to limited parking spaces, we encourage those who are able-bodied to utilize the gravel parking on the corner of Gaines and 3rd Street, the available street parking, and the lot at 2nd and Gaines where the old YMCA used to be. If you have any questions, email info@gahc.org or call 563-322-8844.

Starting November 21st, search downtown Davenport for hidden pickles!
Find 10 pickles to win a pickle ornament for your own tree and be entered into a drawing for a chances to win downtown gift cards and a Grand Prize Basket!
🏆 Pick up an official card at one of the participating businesses to play. Turn in your completed card into one of the following locations:
🇩🇪 German American Heritage Center (712 W. 2nd St.)
Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.,
Sunday 12 – 4 p.m.
📚 Davenport Public Library (321 N. Main St.)
Monday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Tuesday – Saturday 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
**the last day to pick up prize pickles at the GAHC+M is Sunday December 29th. (We are closed Dec 30th -Jan 1st).

We are accepting internship applications for the Spring term! (January – May). The deadline in December 6th.
Undergraduate and graduate level internships, independent study, and project opportunities are always available at the German American Heritage Center & Museum.
The museum works on an individual basis with the student, advisor and/or professor to ensure the student has a unique and enriching learning experience that fulfills their educational goals.
Emphasis areas include but are not limited to museum/interpretive studies, exhibitions, communications (marketing/public relations), education/curriculum, and business administration.

At this time we are unable to offer paid internships but we work with universities to make sure students receive credits for their work. Internship offerings are limited each term but students can apply more than once.
