Ukrainian-style Easter eggs, or pysanky, are eggshells that are decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a batik process using layers of wax and dye to “write” on eggshells. The instructor, Crystal Potthoff, has been creating pysanky for over 16 years. Join her to create your own pysanky egg and learn the history of this ancient art. All materials provided and no experience needed!

Join us for Oktoberfest Davenport on September 21st! This free event is a great way to celebrate the rich German culture in the Quad Cities while having fun in our community. It features a variety of traditional Oktoberfest activities including music, food, games, beer and FREE ADMISSION.

Our Darker Side of Davenport Walking Tours are back!
A string of murders at a barbershop, a fire at a mental hospital, apparitions at City Hall, seances at Palmer College and a death at the Germania Hotel. Davenport has a history of nefarious and paranormal events since its establishment in 1836. Join us as we take a walk through downtown and learn many of the eerie and captivating stories of mysterious happenings in the city. This updated version of the tour will not only creep you out but help you to learn more about the stories that comprise the city`s history.

There is only one week left to see our exhibition, Immigration Then and Now with World Relief Quad Cities! Explore the different journeys of individuals settling in the Quad Cities and compare their experience to the German immigrants of the past.

The film series continues this Wednesday September 11th with Nosferatu.
Tickets are $15 per film and may be purchased online or at the door. Ticket sales include a medium popcorn from the Last Picture House. All films begin at 6:00 pm.
