Free

This FREE symposium is in conjunction with our upcoming exhibition: Hidden Habsburgs in Iowa: 1846-1868 which opens April 24th. Join us Saturday April 30th to learn more about Immigrants who came to the Quad Cities, left a legacy, and returned to their homeland. Our Keynote presentation will be “Who were the Habsburgs?” by Dr. William Keel from the University of Kansas. We will also have a panel discussion with Dr. Keel, Dr. William Roba, and Dr. Terri Switzer.

The Keynote presentation and the panel discussion will be available virtually.

The afternoon will include an excursion to the Davenport Public Library Richardson-Sloane Special Collections to learn how to effectively research genealogy and the resources the Special Collections has for public use.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Registration through EICC is now closed, but if you would like to attend the symposium without getting academic credit, register on Eventbrite or call the museum at 563-322-8844
