An Immigration Story: William and Anna Schwiebert

A new display on the fourth floor is now open to the public focusing on the travels, experiences, and successes of the Schwiebert family from Germany to the Quad Cities area. It is one of the millions of experiences that German immigrants found themselves traveling to their new home. The Schwiebert family is a case study on these travelers and recalls the experiences that helped the Schwieberts cement themselves as productive and respected citizens of the Quad Cities.
