Museum Store Sunday

Winter Zither Concert

The holiday season will be upon us soon, and with it, the Davenport Zither Ensemble will once again perform their winter concert! Come and listen to the soothing sounds of the German Zither! The ensemble will be playing some traditional zither tunes, as well as a few you might recognize. The concert is FREE admission, and will take place at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Davenport on November 26th at 2PM

Giant Advent Calendar

Once again, it's time to count down the days until Christmas, and with it, the return of Iowa's largest advent calendar! Every night, one of our southern windows will light up with a brand new design until Christmas. The calendar will feature art from seventh grade students at Davenport's Creative Arts Academy. German Christmas Concert: Karlsruher Konzertduo

Cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann have been performing together since 1998. They have played in 60 countries, including in series for the Schubert Society London and Beethoven Music Society Washington, and won international competitions in France and Italy. The Duo has has several CD‘s under the Fiori Classics label. This holiday season the musicians will visit the Midwest where they will travel and perform classical German chamber music. The GAHC is unveiling our first ever Christkindlmarkt fair this December 16th!  A collection of vendors will be selling their crafts, delectables, and other holiday goodies for those last minute stocking stuffers! There is no cost to attend the fair, and is located on the 4th floor of our beautiful building! The fair will last from 10-2pm. We hope to see you there and share with us in this holiday season! Community Open House!
