Following the hugely successful National Zither Gathering in April 2008, planning has been put into motion to create a National Zither Center in Davenport, Iowa. Master Zitherist Tomy Temerson is fully behind the establishment of a center that will provide complete support for the beginning and experienced zither player. Last fall, Tomy invited Anne Prinz to Germany to study the art of teaching new zither players, become acquainted with the many helpful zither music books, learn the craft of basic restoration of the zither, and provide essential supplies for zither players, such as thumb rings, zither strings, and zither musical arrangements.
